Reading aloud to children is a pivotal way in which parents and caregivers can actively improve children’s learning outcomes. In a crisis affected context, learning is compromised by reduced instructional time, overcrowded classrooms and limited instructional and didactic learning materials.
The project
Tuta Tuta aims to provide emotional and educational support to vulnerable children in Jordan impacted by the Syrian refugee crisis by giving parents and caregivers the tools to read to and with these children.

Children’s digital library
We are building a library of 250 Arabic children’s stories along with a sub-collection of psychosocial content designed to promote psychosocial well-being and healing.
Reading Awareness Campaign
We’ve partnered with the Queen Rania Foundation to launch a digital reading campaign across Jordan to increase awareness of the power of reading and boost parental engagement in learning.
Partnerships
We work with a network of on-the-ground implementation partners to more effectively bring digital reading to families impacted by the Syrian refugee crisis.
