For the past 5 years, Worldreader has held an annual Digital Reading Summit in Ghana and Kenya. Each year, the number of participants attending has increased. Last year, we saw over 400 people join us in the discourse on digital reading. As the number of attendees has increased, feedback from participants on how our events should be longer, incorporate more training sessions and have a stronger advocacy focus has also risen.
On behalf of Worldreader, we are announcing that in 2018, we will hit the pause button on the Digital Reading Summits and use it as an opportunity to refresh our approach to hosting the Summits, in order to better address the feedback we have received from people like you. We plan to resume the Summits in their reimagined format in 2019. In the meantime, we do understand how invaluable our capacity building and knowledge sharing sessions are for Project Managers and Publishers, and plan on hosting various workshops and refresher training sessions in Kenya and Ghana in 2018 to address these needs. Once we have more details we will share them with you.
Thank you for your support!
